Carol singing, mulled wine and mince pies!

The Village Singers (a local pop up community choir) led Carol singing around the village on Friday evening!  Thank you to all those who joined us and boosted our singing as we walked around Swanton Abbott. 

We were blessed with a dry starry night, and as well as enjoying traditional carols, we also paused to look at the stars and reflect on the beauty of the night.  So much fun was had by all!

It was encouraging to have villagers coming out of their homes to cheer us on too. 

After that, we went back to the chapel for a well deserved and much needed warm drink and a mince pies.   More villagers, family and friends then joined us as The Village Singers put on a delightful short programme of festive music and readings.   

Thank you to everyone who made the evening possible.  We brought much cheer to many as we sang of the truths of Christmas and of Christ, the newborn King.
